Wattly has recently initiated discussions with several landowners and land developers in Spain to capitalize on land that remains unused despite already having partial infrastructure in place. While previous construction plans in these areas have not come to fruition, the existing power connections and substations present an excellent starting point for new renewable energy initiatives.
Combined Parks for Enhanced Efficiency

Our focus is on developing and finance combined parks with our partners, that integrate both solar energy and battery storage solutions. The aim is to:
- Maximize the use of existing electrical infrastructure
- Ensure stable and flexible green energy supplies
- Contribute to reducing carbon emissions at both local and national levels
By pairing solar energy production with storage capacity, we can smooth out supply fluctuations, improving both the reliability and profitability of the facilities.
Significant Potential for Rapid Development
Spain offers unique conditions for renewable energy, thanks to its abundant sunshine and growing interest in the green transition. With power lines and substations already in proximity to these land parcels, project development can be accelerated—enabling cost-effective and large-scale solutions.
Next Steps
Over the coming weeks, Wattly will continue discussions with landowners, local authorities, and potential partners to assess the feasibility and scope of these projects. We look forward to transforming these underutilized land areas into effective renewable energy solutions in collaboration with our partners.
