How we use cockies

Consent-first, compliance by design

Wattly uses cookies and similar technologies to run our site, secure GreenBridge360™, and (with your consent) improve performance and tailor content. We follow the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR: only essential cookies load by default; everything else requires your consent (which you can change anytime).

What counts as a “cookie”?

“Cookies & similar technologies” include browser cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, and SDKs that store or access information on your device.

Who sets them?

  • First-party: placed by Wattly (e.g., session/security).

  • Third-party: placed by vetted providers (e.g., analytics, security, consent management) under contract and strict safeguards.

Why we use them (categories)

  1. Strictly Necessary (Essential)always on; legitimate interest/contract
Enable core functions: page load, session management, security (e.g., bot protection, CSRF), consent storage, and preference saving for the banner itself.

  2. Preferences / Functionalityconsent
Remember settings (e.g., language), improve UX, and support optional features.

  3. Analytics / Performanceconsent
Understand how our site and GreenBridge360™ are used so we can fix issues and improve speed and usability. Where supported, we use IP truncation/aggregation and Consent Mode to respect your choices.

  4. Marketing / Targetingconsent
Used for campaign measurement and relevance (only when active). If not enabled, these do not load.

We do not use cookies to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

How to manage your choices

  • Open preferences: [Manage Cookie Settings] (opens the consent banner).

  • Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies via your browser. Blocking essential cookies may break site functionality.

  • Withdraw consent: You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the banner; changes apply going forward.

Retention & international transfers

Cookie lifespans vary (session → up to 24 months). Details appear in the banner/vendor list. Some providers may process data outside the EEA/UK; we use Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards.

Transparency: current cookies & vendors

Your real-time list of cookies, purposes, providers, and lifetimes is available in the consent banner’s “Details”/Vendor List.
